Golden Cradle is a not-for-protit (501c(3), non-sectarian adoption and birthparent services agency founded in 1980 by Arty Elgart, a Philadelphia business man.

     Having gone through the adoption process himself, Arty thought that there must be a "better way" to provide a service to both birth parents seeking to place their child for adoption and adoptive families.

     He began an advertising campaign designed to present adoption as a viable, healthy option. From this unique approach, Golden Cradle evolved into a highly successful, nationally recognized adoption organization.

     Since 1980, Golden Cradle has placed over 1500 children . Today the options for birth parents and adoptive families include open, identified, and overseas adoptions.
