Golden Cradle® is a not-for-profit (501c(3), non-sectarian adoption and birthparent services agency founded in 1980 by Arty Elgart, a Philadelphia business man.

     Having gone through the adoption process himself, Arty thought that there must be a "better way" to provide a service to both birth parents seeking to place their child for adoption and adoptive families.

     He began an advertising campaign designed to present adoption as a viable, healthy option. From this unique approach, Golden Cradle® evolved into a highly successful, nationally recognized adoption organization.

    Arty revolutinized adoption advertising and Golden Cradle® ads were placed on billboards, supermarket windows, newspapers and magazines.  The agency was featured on over 65 televsion shows in the US and England including The Today Show, Good Morning America, People Are Talking, 60 Minutes with Morley Safer and the Donahue Show.  Golden Cradle® was featured on the front cover of People Magazine and seven other magazines including the cover story of Parade magazine.
