     Golden Cradle is licensed in New Jersey and Connecticut, and we can place children with people all over the USA and the rest of the world as well. We can assist you in arranging for a home study in other states.

     With offices in New Jersey, Golden Cradle does most of the birth parent surrenders according to New Jersey regulations. This means that surrenders can be signed by the birth parents no sooner than 72 hours after the child's birth and are irrevocable when signed. No long period of uncertainty waiting for a court date for surrenders to be heard and made "official".

     Finalization of the adoption usually (when the child is "officially" yours) occurs 6 to 8 months after placement. Most states require agency supervisory visits before finalization.

     Golden Cradle offers education and support services to birth families and adoptive families after placement and finalization. Once the adoption is finalized, our After Adoption Services Department provides educational and counseling services to meet the needs of our adoptive families, birth families, and children.
